New Year, New Me

In two days we will be in a new year. A new decade. The word I am focusing on is "new"

In two days I will have a new attitude. I will have a new way of thinking, a new way of acting. As the Bible says I will be a new creature. What brought all this about? Well like a lot of you, when the new year begins, we all make new year resolutions or set new goals or just vow to do some things differently. While reviewing my 2019, I realized that I worked too hard, and not always smart. I realized I wasted too much time on things that were not really important to the plans I have for my life. I realized that I did not spend enough time with the people that mean the most to me.. I realized that I spent money on things I didn't need and have not used. I also realized that I have been playing too small. Anybody else out there guilty of that?

There were some dramatic changes in my life in 2018, and 2019 was a new way of life for me. But at the end of 2019 I see that I still played too small. I now realize that I am capable of much bigger things and 2020 will see me stepping up and stepping out. And I am very EXCITED at the prospect of what 2020 will hold for me.

You still have time to review your year. See what things worked and what things need work. Did you work too many hours and neglect time with your family and friends? Did you say yes to things you really wanted to say no to? Did you make excuses for why you didn't work out? Did you put off annual checkups? Did you spend mindless hours watching television or on social media? Did you eat out too much? Did you let fear stop you from doing something you really wanted to do? Did you? (insert your comment here)

Let 2020 be the year you do it differently.
