Me, Myself & I

Let me start off by saying that I love Valentineās Day. I like the pretty pink and red decorations, I love the cards with the loving messages and I really like the chocolate candy. š
I have always celebrated Valentineās Day in some form or fashion. Whether it was a date at lunch, a dinner date, a hot romantic night, a card and candy, or flowers delivered to my job. There was always some acknowledgment of this day.
Some women don't like or celebrate this day. I was speaking with some friends yesterday and this is not a day that they celebrate. But for me, I like it.
Some women donāt feel Valentineās is special if they are not in a relationship. I donāt feel that way at all. Whether I am in a relationship or not, I celebrate this day because I am special and I celebrate me!
I will say that again. I am special and I celebrate me. Yep. I love on me on Valentineās Day. Just like I donāt believe that you have to wait on someone to buy you jewelry or flowers or candy, I also believe that you donāt have to miss out on Valentines day because you are not in a relationship.
Self-love is a great love to have. In my FB group Confident Woman Dreamlife we have been doing a 7-day self-love challenge. Daily you should be taking some time out of your busy schedule to love on yourself.
I hear women all the time complain about how they are missing out on things because they donāt have a mate or someone special to celebrate with.
Nope. Time out for that kind of thinking. If you donāt have a mate, or are waiting for a mate, do the special things for yourself. Take yourself out to dinner, buy yourself flowers, buy that necklace or ring you have been eyeing. Take yourself on that vacation. Then when your mate finds you, and he does those special things, it is just icing on the cake.
My final thoughts on this. Self-love is a must in your life. Make sure that you are doing the things that make you happy and most of all, make you feel loved...by YOU.
