DIY Beauty Tips

I have had to learn to be self-sufficient lately. Since we can't get to our normal places of beauty, I have had to learn how to do some things. You know what I mean?. You Tube University has been my new best friend. I didn't realize just how much I depended on my glam squad. I laugh now at the plans I had made back in March. I had a whole day of beauty planned. You see working for Girl Scouts during cookie season can be rough. The cases of cookies does a number on your hands and my cuticles were begging for help.
I had it all planned. A day of rest and relaxation, with some pampering thrown in. A facial, massage, manicure and pedicure and then a nice lunch. Every Saturday that I worked during February and March I was picturing myself lying on the table, the soft music playing and me getting pampered.
Well Corona changed all that. And since March 14, I have been on my own. Yep, I have become my own beauty consultant. (insert big laugh) I have had to do my own facials, pedicure, cuticle care and trim my ends. (yikes) When the world opens back up, the first thing I am going to do is schedule my day of beauty.
I have heard other women talk about how we have had to learn how to do the things for ourselves that we usually depend on others to do. Just because we are in a pandemic does not mean that we are going to just give up on looking our best.
I have used this time to research different techniques and what products are good for my hair, skin and body. With the corona scare I think more of us will be going to natural and DIY products.
I would like to share one of my favorite resources. Marcus Geeter, Chicago's own nationally renown makeup artist, beauty and creative consultant, specializing in advertising and beauty, I have known Marcus for years and actually took a makeup lesson from him many years ago when I was doing makeup. On Sunday mornings he shares awesome beauty tips on his You Tube channel. Two of my favorites right now are the facial using egg whites, honey and cinnamon and the eye treatment using honey and vitamin e.
Take a few minutes to watch them both and then try them out. I bet you will love the results as much as I do. Look at that glow on my skin.
Check our Marcus' You Tube channel. You will get all kind of easy tips.
