6 Signs That You Are Tired And Need A Time Out


So how do you know when it is time? Here are some signs that you need to be on the lookout for.

  1. You are always tired. Even though you go to be at night. You are getting sleep, but it is not restful sleep. So you wake up tired. You go to bed, but your brain is still working and you are still mentally thinking about what you have to do, and what is not done. All of those issues and concerns that you should have left before you went to bed are still front and center. It is on your mind when you fall asleep. So you don't really get in the peaceful sleep that will help you wake up refreshed the next day.

  2. You are always on. That means that you don't take any days off. You never take any time for you to do anything, or to do the things that you want to do for you. You are always working on work stuff, or busy taking care of the family. You never just sit down and rest. You are always picking up the clutter, looking our for others, cleaning the house etc.

  3. You are impatient. Everything and everybody is getting on your nerves. You are even ready to put the dog out.

  4. No fun. You are no fun to be around and you don't have any fun. Everything is work, work, work.

  5. There is friction in your relationship. You find yourself bickering, upset or even mad for little reasons or no reason at all. You find yourself picking a fight, just looking for something wrong.

  6. You ignore signs that something is not quite right with your health. You have headaches, or minor aches and pains. But you won't take the time to get it checked out. You continue to work right through it.

These are just some signs. There are more, but these are some that I have noticed in my life. When I need a timeout I am a little terror. I am impatient, judgmental, and no fun. I don't even like myself. When I start feeling that overwhelmed feeling, I know that I need to put myself in timeout. And these days I don't have a problem doing just that.
